A pediatric patient liaison is available from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., seven days a week, to provide you with information about accommodations. Your child's nurse can help you contact the liaison.
Staying Overnight in Your Child's Room
Hospitalized children often benefit by having a parent stay the night with them. That's why we provide comfortable reclining chairs and pullout beds in each patient's private room. If you would like to stay overnight in your child's hospital room, please speak with your child's nurse.
Other Hospital Accommodations
Parents also have the option of spending the night in facilities that are located close to our hospital. Please contact your child's nurse for details about room availability and rates.
University of Chicago Preferred Hotels Program
The University of Chicago has negotiated discount rates for patients and families requiring hotel accommodations while visiting our medical center.
To make a reservation, please contact the hotel directly and reference the University of Chicago discount when making a reservation. Blackout dates may apply.

Reduced Hotel Rates for Cancer Patients
The American Cancer Society (ACS) offers additional reduced rates at downtown and suburban hotels to cancer patients. For more information on the ACS Hotel Partners Program, and additional support services offered by the American Cancer Society, call 1-800-227-2345.
If you are a physician or social worker, please call 773-702-9900 or fax your requests to 773-834-0261. The request should include the patient's name, address and home phone number; type of cancer; doctor's name and phone number; and dates of treatment. The patient must also have a signed patient waiver form on file. This form will be faxed to the doctor's office once the housing request has been completed.
