What to Expect from Inpatient Hospitalization

During inpatient psychiatric care, our priority is safety, stabilization and recovery. Upon admission, you’ll receive a comprehensive evaluation and an individualized treatment plan from our team of mental health experts, including psychiatrists, nurses and therapists. The average stay in the inpatient psychiatric unit is five to seven days.

Most patients participate in a structured daily schedule that includes individual and group therapy, medication management, coping skills training, and wellness activities such as mindfulness, art and music.

The inpatient setting is a secure, supportive environment that reduces stress and promotes healing. Visiting hours and family involvement are encouraged when appropriate, as they are an important part of the recovery process.

Our team works closely with you to plan for next steps after discharge, including outpatient care, support services and community resources to help you transition smoothly and continue your progress.
