Prateek Sharma, MD, is a board-certified vascular medicine and endovascular interventional cardiologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with cardiovascular and peripheral vascular diseases. With expertise in non-invasive, medical and minimally invasive endovascular procedures, Dr. Sharma specializes in diagnosing and treating complex arterial and venous conditions, including:
- Peripheral artery disease (PAD)
- Critical limb ischemia including limb salvage
- Carotid artery disease
- Mesenteric arterial disease
- Renal artery disease
- Non-atherosclerotic arterial disease (arteriopathies) , including fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) and other artery diseases

- Acute and chronic pulmonary embolism, including Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) with balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA)

Dr. Sharma is committed to combining the latest advancements in vascular medicine with a personalized approach, ensuring each patient receives the most effective and least invasive treatment options available. His practice focuses on preventing disease progression, improving circulation and enhancing patients' overall quality of life through a combination of medical therapy, lifestyle interventions and state-of-the-art interventional techniques.
He has had a life-long commitment to humanistic care and service, having been awarded the honor of carrying the 2002 Winter Olympic Torch in his home city of Salt for his community and local service – a flame he carries forward to this day in patient and family centered, respectful care. He is actively involved in clinical research, education, and professional organizations, staying at the forefront of innovations in cardiac and vascular care.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Sharma is passionate about patient education and empowering individuals to take an active role in their heart and vascular health. He believes and participates in a multidisciplinary approach to care, collaborating with specialists in radiology, heart failure, cardiovascular imaging, vascular surgery, podiatry, endocrinology, nephrology and primary care to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
