Rishi Arora, MBBS, is a highly experienced cardiologist specializing in heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation and complex arrhythmias. He provides personalized, evidence-based care using the latest treatments to help patients manage their condition and improve their overall well-being. As an expert in cardiac electrophysiology and leading-edge research, Dr. Arora is at the forefront of developing innovative treatments for atrial fibrillation. His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind atrial fibrillation, particularly the role of the autonomic nervous system, inflammation and oxidative injury in heart rhythm disorders. His laboratory has pioneered new gene therapy approaches, showing promising results in reducing atrial fibrillation’s effects.
With more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in top medical journals—including Science, Circulation and Nature Biotechnology—Dr. Arora’s work has significantly advanced the field. In recognition of his contributions, he was inducted into the prestigious American Society for Clinical Investigation in 2020.
