Clinical Microbiology & Immunology
Our Clinical Microbiology and Immunology Laboratory focuses on bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, and molecular microbiology.
Our services include organism identification and susceptibility, which provide you with the information needed to determine appropriate treatment. We also participate in bioterrorism and bio-outbreak preparedness at the local and state level; work with infection control practitioners to minimize the spread of infection; and work with transplant physicians and other clinicians to identify and treat infections to shorten hospital stays. We continually adopt new technology when appropriate to improve patient care.
