At the UChicago Medicine Voice Center, our mission is to provide compassionate and holistic multidisciplinary care to people with voice, airway and swallowing disorders. Our team of fellowship-trained laryngologists and speech-language pathologists work side by side with you to create a care plan just for you. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients by delivering state-of-the-art care diagnostics, innovative in-office and surgical therapies, as well as personalized therapy to treat a wide range of conditions. Our commitment extends to advancing research, education and community awareness beyond simply clinical care.

Treating the Full Spectrum of Voice Disorders
Voice, airway and swallowing conditions treated by our team include the following, and more:
- Acute, chronic and reflux laryngitis
- Vocal cord conditions such as vocal cord cysts, vocal cord nodules, vocal cord paralysis, vocal cord polyps and vocal fold hemorrhage
- Recurrent respiratory papillamatosis
- Chronic cough
- Reinke's edema, or swelling of the vocal cords
- Dysphonias, including muscle tension dysphonia and spasmodic dysphonia
- Laryngeal cancer
- Voice problems due to trauma or prior medical procedures
- Vocal tremor
- Airway stenosis, or narrowing of the airway
