Our Neighborhood City
The University of Chicago Medicine main campus is located in Chicago's historic Hyde Park neighborhood. It is home to many cultural and educational attractions as well as many diverse restaurants, lakefront beaches, family parks, cozy bookstores and coffee shops.
During the academic year, approximately 23,000 University of Chicago students, faculty and staff are on campus each day. Many of these people not only work or go to school in Hyde Park, but they live here, too.
We are located on the south side of Chicago. In addition to being the third most populated city in the United States, Chicago is known for its music scene, food, cultural attractions, sports teams, lakefront trails, and much more.
