A Team Devoted to Transplant Care
Our pancreatic transplant team is led by renowned surgeons who work side-by-side with specially trained providers to provide comprehensive care. This group includes diabetologist-endocrinologists, transplant nephrologists, interventional radiologists, transplant nurses, a transplant pharmacist, a social worker, a financial counselor, a transplant dietitian and other support staff who work solely with transplant patients.
Our endocrinology program is ranked among the finest in the country by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, UChicago Medicine operates the only federally-funded National Diabetes Research and Training Center in the region.
